A cool Victorian carnelian signet ring with an intaglio crest and motto. The crest depicts an lion below a banner with the Latin motto TENAS PROPISITI or "Tenacious Purpose". The ring is a good size, and modelled in 15 karat gold, dating from circa 1880.
