| Materials: | The leaf structure and fastening of the brooch are constructed from environmentally-friendly, low-allergen zinc alloy, coloured light gold. The leaves have been painted with a low-gloss, satin-finish enamel paint. Each flower is made from a single piece of shell, carved with delicate ridges to resemble petals. The stamen of the larger flower is made of the same metal as the rest of the brooch, while the stamen of the smaller flower is a single drop of yellow enamel paint. I am not entirely sure what the yellow orb is made from, but it feels like their artificial crystal or glass. |
